This is a selective invite to a new forum. By 'selective' it means that those whom I have sent this invitation to for one reason or another impressed me with their writing and fields of interest on their website, blog, or from somewhere else and sometimes it was just the feeling I got between the lines that I thought they might be interested in this type of forum.

It's called, Nowhere Forum and whenever convenient please visit to have a look and read the introduction, "Welcome to Nowhere Forum" in the 'Center' section to get an idea of the intent for it. It has been been online for over three months now and has 27 participants thus far. There's no rush to fill it up with names or postings, the premise is somewhat different than other forums and the reasons for that are also noted in the intro.

Though this invitation can be regarded as a solicitation for registrants, my personal attitude is more that I'm letting some individuals know of a place on the map and they can decide for themselves if it suits their itineraries. :)

even though I don't think I've ever commented, I have enjoyed reading your blog. (I had clicked over from Breanne's MBTI blog.) anyway, I hope you will consider leaving this blog up even if you don't post rather than deleting it. the stuff you've written could be helpful and enlightening to others who find it later. =)

Look at local colleges with online programs, they might not only provide you online flexibility but also other supporting services available on evenings and weekends. If you are looking at distant institutions, make sure they have experience in fully supporting students remotely. Go online and on message boards and see what people say about those institutions. I'm with you on this must be merry issue!! You put into words the very thing I feel every year! I am VERY slowly learning to let myself off the hook for a lot of it. We picked up take out on Christmas Day this last year [09]! That was a serious relaxing of the standards!! It was a major relief though! ;-)

Linda, my thought about your E-I question: might you be an I who gets fired up about art and then gets all E-like when she talks about it? I use the MBTI in my work and find that if you get an I talking about something she loves she may not stop talking. :) I too love art, the observing and making and have recently realized I have lived over 40 years as an E when I was truly an I. Long story.

I like your blog. I read it and enjoy it. I think blog writing is an evolving thing. You find something that works and build on that. I use all my own pictures on my blog as well. Sometimes I don't always have the one I have in mind so I have to create it. That makes it challenging. Keep up the good work Linda :)

How fresh and uncontrived is your insight. You would make an excellent art history and art appreciation teacher. You make a jaded, too educated old artist like myself want to sit down in front of you and learn about art all over again. Conveying the excitement, incitement and enlightenment that art can produce is an art of its own.

You remind me of the Anais Nin quote to which you first introduced me: “We don’t see things as they are, we see things as we are.” Certainly art can be much more than the artist expressing herself out into the world. It can also be an opportunity for viewers to express themselves into themselves, and to observe themselves doing that.

You not only have the ability to observe your own mind, you also have the ability to teach that ability to others. More, please.

Anyway, don't be over-critical on "your moods": as an INTP I'm almost constantly in that mood, especially when work is concerned. I really appreciate your informal and informative blog, on which I stumbled while on a personal "crusade" to reverse-engineer the MBTI: I think I figured out most of the basics, and that I'll find material for many refinements here.

It's surprising how so few people have even heard of the MBTI here in Italy while in the US it seems like an institution, though.
